My focus is helping adults improve their relationships and overall well-being through individual therapy. While I don't offer family or couples therapy, individual sessions can be a vital component of successful couples therapy. I often collaborate with couples therapists and am happy to provide referrals if we decide that it can benefit your relationship.
I currently offer virtual sessions from anywhere in Florida, New York, and 42 other states via PsyPact.
I meet with clients on Sunday and offer evening appointments Monday- Thursday.
My rate is $275 per session. I allocate 60-minutes for the initial consultation, while subsequent sessions are 45 minutes.
I have a limited number of in-network insurance slots available with Aetna commercial plans (not EAP or Medicaid). Additionally, I provide a monthly superbill with all the necessary information for out-of-network reimbursement. Most insurance plans will cover a portion of your therapy sessions, but the amount varies depending on your plan. To learn more about your mental health benefits, including any deductible and reimbursement rates, I recommend contacting your health insurance company's customer service.
I can't guarantee specific outcomes from therapy, but many of my clients experience psychological improvement, a reduction in symptoms, and an overall sense of well-being. They often gain a deeper understanding of their emotions and patterns in relationships, feeling more empowered to make desired changes over time.
If my background and approach resonate with you, I encourage you to schedule a session. If you feel comfortable talking with me and hopeful about the possibility of feeling better, it's likely that we are a good match.
I meet my clients either once or twice a week. Meeting on a consistent weekly basis helps us make faster, more effective progress in dealing with your concerns. Once we’ve seen improvement and you feel better, we may decide to adjust our therapy schedule for less frequent check-ins.
The duration of therapy depends on your goals and the complexity of your concerns. Some issues can be resolved relatively quickly, while others might require more time. Often, clients start with one issue and discover additional areas they'd like to explore. Therapy can last from a few months to several years, depending on various factors, including your progress and evolving needs.
Once we agreed on an appointment time, it is expected that you will be present for your appointments. All cancellations under 24-hours notice will be charged the full session fee. I hold a weekly scheduled appointment time specifically for you. This provides consistency and dedicated attention. Therefore it is difficult to fill a session with short notice. With advanced notice, I will try to find another time to reschedule sessions.
Missed or cancelled sessions are often inevitable. Yet, cancellations can also point to important work being uncovered in the treatment. Sometimes when therapy becomes challenging or hits upon an important topic, it can feel easier to skip a week or put off a session. It is most helpful to your well-being to be reflective when that cancellation urge arises and bring this up with me.
